Fremont residents looking to sell their homes can breathe a collective sigh of relief.

The Movoto Real Estate Blog searched the nation to determine which cities in America are best for home sellers, and Fremont topped the list, reaffirming that Fremont is indeed investment-worthy.

They looked at the country’s 100 largest cities in terms of population and considered a variety of criteria in order to come up with the final ranking, including total homes for sale per capita, median days on the market, crime rate, school quality and unemployment rate. When it came down to it, Fremont excelled in every area, which is why it came in as the best city in the nation for home sellers.

Fremont is ideal for sellers all around. Homes sell quickly, there’s plenty of competition among buyers, schools are excellent, crime is low and home prices are very high.

With a population of 220,000, Fremont is home to the highest-earning home buyers on the top 10 list – they made a median household income of $98,513 per year. At the same time, sellers can anticipate a median listing price of $640,000, which is the third highest of all the cities surveyed behind San Francisco and Irvine.

Fremont is tied with Oakland, Calf. when it comes to fewest median days on the market at 25 days. We also have the second-highest ratio of homes for sale to residents after San Francisco at one for every 689 residents.

It’s also interesting to note that Fremont wasn’t the only city in California to make the top 10. In fact, five of the very best cities for home sellers are in the state. The full top 10 includes:
