The phrase “time flies” seems to be part of the nomenclature of the holiday season. During this busy period, we’d like to pause and reflect on progress we’ve seen over the last twelve months and provide a preview of 2016.

  • In 2015, the City completed phase one of construction of Capitol Avenue and connected the street with Fremont Boulevard. The new downtown streetscape and “heart” of the City will be fully constructed in 2016.
  • The Warm Springs/Innovation District BART station will be opening in the first part of 2016.
  • Delta Products finished its North America headquarter construction in Fremont. This is the City’s first commercial building built to LEED platinum standards.
  • The East Bay’s first Startup Grind chapter launched in Fremont to rave reviews. Check out the new year’s calendar here.

In 2016, Fremont will be 60 years young and has a robust innovation agenda intended to keep it nimble, proactive and impactful.
