2018 Silicon Valley Index: Enduring tech success puts more pressure on families, commuters
Last week, Joint Venture Silicon Valley hosted its annual State of the Valley conference, which coincided with the release of its highly anticipated Silicon Valley Index report. For Fremont, this event is always an important opportunity to better understand how our local economy contributes to broader regional patterns and how we can continue to strengthen the City’s position within the Valley. Highlights that caught our attention include:
- Alameda County’s 25,000 new jobs accounted for the highest percentage of relative job growth last fiscal year.
