Fremont’s New Whole Foods Plays a Role in Housing Growth in the Area
As we join Fremont in welcoming Whole Foods today, Robson Homes
is very proud and excited to celebrate the grand opening of the market
within our custom-designed retail center at the gateway to Fremont’s new
downtown.
Since the early ’90s, Robson Homes has built a dozen
residential communities in Fremont alone. We have developed a strong
appreciation for the community and learned a tremendous amount about
consumer preferences in Fremont.
Household formation is a main
driver in home building, and the City of Fremont places great emphasis
on family and home, both key factors in supporting housing growth.
Consistently ranked one of the safest and best-run cities in America,
Fremont also boasts top-ranked public schools and numerous parks and
recreational areas. Additionally, with the expansion of BART toSan
Joseand its central location,Fremontis truly positioned as the connector
between the North andSouthBay,EastBay and Peninsula.
Young
Silicon Valley professionals value the great schools, safe and healthy
environment, family-oriented activities and proximity to employment
centers that make Fremont a perfect place to start and raise a family.
Over the past 24 years as a homebuilder, we have seen Fremont residents become more affluent, more highly educated and more widely traveled.
We have witnessed an evolution in consumer preference toward more
design-oriented homes with higher end finishes. Fremont residents are
increasingly discriminating consumers with disposable income, and our
interactions with our homebuyers led us to conclude that Fremont is
ready for higher end retail.
We believe that Whole Foods provides
the same unique experience and quality our customers are asking for in
our homes. We also see pent-up demand for trendy, upscale restaurants,
retail and services that cater to a health-conscious and culturally
sophisticated clientele.
In building the Whole Foods center, our
goal has been to create not only a showcase for Whole Foods, but also a
destination center that is unique in architecture and in the retail and
dining venues it attracts toFremont. We are experiencing great interest
from many retailers and restaurants that are new to Fremont, and even to
Northern California.
We look forward to being able to announce
our other tenants on this blog in the near future. All I can say is,
Fremont is full of opportunity!
