Prologis Modernizes Fremont Real Estate Portfolio to Appeal to Tech Businesses
Momentum is building in Fremont’s Innovation District. From the Warm Springs BART opening andnew commercial development to record low vacancy rates, it’s clear that a growing number of tech customers are looking to Fremont as a business location. With its well-earned reputation for accommodating R&D and manufacturing, Fremont has long been a natural fit for our portfolio, which currently has several spaces available for lease. Recently, we decided to reinvest in the Bayside Business Park by urbanizing spaces and adding features designed to appeal to a 21st century workforce. The photos below reflect where we believe the Fremont tech market is headed — fresh, contemporary work environments that can accommodate the wide range of advanced industries that call Fremont home.
More enhancements to this unique park are on the way. We look forward to sharing those with you in the near future.
New entryways include expansive clear glass, contemporary metal
awnings, and drought-tolerant landscaping.
Open floor plans are anchored by a kitchen/break area
stocked with amenities, offering opportunities for employee interaction.
Gone are the dropped ceilings of yesterday. Exposed ceilings, wooden beams, pendant lights, and floor-to-ceiling two-story lobbies foster an urban workspace that is ideal for today’s maker generation.
We’ve even parted ways with traditional exterior paint
colors in favor of more timeless, urban accents.
Outdoor collaboration areas suitable as both public space and outdoor company meeting space have never been more important. Here’s a rendering of our plan to convert underused spaces into common areas for working, socializing, and special events.
