Fremont: Best in Show,
with Something to Show for It

The state-of-the-art facility will include a media center, flexible spaces for project-based learning, an outdoor amphitheater, and the latest technology. The new school will vividly reflect Silicon Valley creativity and innovation with a modern design visualized by Quattrocchi Kwok Architects, specialists in 21st century learning environments.

A new community park, constructed next to the school, will serve as a place where students and all Fremont residents can get away from the hustle and bustle, and bits and bytes of Silicon Valley life.

While Silicon Valley is typically considered as the place to go to jumpstart your tech career, we want Fremont to be a city where residents can flourish in all aspects of their lives. From building a company to starting a family, Fremont has the resources and amenities available to make it happen.

We’re no stranger to “best of” city rankings lists.

Among our accolades, Fremont placed first in several rating categories generated by WalletHub: Least-stressed city, lowest percentage of adults in fair/poor health, lowest divorce rate, highest median credit score, and happiest place to live.

It’s not only researchers from distant lands who are giving our City high marks. We asked our residents to weigh in with their thoughts about Fremont and its services in 2016’s community survey.

Four out of five Fremont residents rated the quality of life as good or excellent.
One of the things they appreciate the most is diversity, which is reflected in Fremont’s top-notch international cuisines. From Afghan to Korean to Mediterranean, one of our over 500 restaurants is bound to satisfy even the most obscure craving.
Coffeehouse culture is also alive and well in Fremont, with an incredible lineup, including Slap Face, Devout, Suju’s, Philz, TECO, and more, where you can spot locals enjoying their cup of daily joe.

For the outdoorsy types, the iconic Mission Peak attracts hikers, bicyclists and sightseers all year long. And for those who like a bird’s eye view of the Bay, you can also indulge in hang gliding and paragliding.

And while we are staying fit and flying high, we aren’t resting on our laurels.
In Warm Springs, one of Fremont’s most sought-after neighborhoods, we‘re going to great lengths to ensure that both businesses and families can grow side by side — where R&D and R&R can intertwine.

We understand that finding inexpensive living spaces in Silicon Valley can be almost as hard as cooking up the next Apple or Facebook. That’s why Fremont greenlighted Innovia, an affordable housing development west of the South Fremont BART station. This development, expected to open in 2019, will offer 290 rental units for low-income households.

Also slated to open in 2019, Lila Bringhurst Elementary School will join the rest of Fremont Unified School District’s award-winning schools in preparing our City’s youngest residents to become the next generation of innovative workers.
